Tricia A. Barnes Founder/Creator of Z-GoGo TAB Creations
As a plus size beauty, my health was beginning to fail. Obesity increases the likelihood of various diseases, particularly heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obstructive sleep apnea, certain types of cancer, and osteoarthritis. Fortunately enough, those illness had not set in. Life is too precious to not take care of the body, the temple. I wanted to lose weight and get healthy but wanted to do it with a little fun and excitement. I experienced other cardio workouts and enjoyed them. But I thought, why not work out to the music I grew up on and love dearly! And there is nothing like it. My sisters and bother loved the idea as well and made it their business to assist me in any shape, form or fashion to dance this weight away. They are now addicted too! Z-GoGo was a way for me to channel my stress about being over weight into getting fit and healthy. Well, it is now a way for many women and men to get fit together! All praises to God for the vision he has given me to share with others.

GoGo music and working out, made my decision to become an Z-GoGo instructor easy. I have been at it ever since, learning, training, and honing my fitness skills. My goal is to inspire our students to be the fittest, best, healthy selves they can be.

It’s been about 3 years since I stood in the mirror and asked myself, “Are you happy in this body?” As I gazed at the image facing me, I suddenly realized exactly how physically UN-happy and Un-fit I had become. Fast-forward 3-days, I attend my first Z-GoGo class and a beautiful love affair begins. The song said, move if you wanna, and to my surprise I honestly wanted to move and workout. After class I was energized and felt absolutely amazing. As my Z-GoGo enthusiasm continued to grow, I decided to become an instructor. My primary focus is encouraging our students to enjoy their workouts – if they like what they’re doing, they will continue to do it. The way I see it, we never know what life will bring our way, but we CAN condition our bodies to be in the best possible PHYSICAL and Mental position to bend…NOT Break.”
